'Right In Front Of Me' is the brand new one from JAWS. The Birmingham trio have been away for the last couple of years but whatever they have been doing has worked, as this return is one of their most blistering pieces of shoegaze inspired dream-pop to date. Driving drum and bass work provide a bold and beefy bed for the languid, reverb-soaked vocal and the glimmering guitar lines that bring a sprinkling of light to the otherwise dark and brooding hue. It's an anthemic and inspired return from the three, who also announce the release of a long-awaited second record Simplicity, due 4 November. It's a blessing to have JAWS back in front of us. -G.O'B
